Which crystal size should I use?

Fine Crystals (size: 0 - 0.2 mm)
Use to treat bare root before planting or during transplantation
Use to mix in the growing media prior to seeding, sodding, or small container planting


Small Crystals (size: 0.2 - 0.8 mm)
Use to mix in potted plant and container gardening media prior to planting

Medium Crystals (size: 0.8 - 2.0 mm)

Use to mix in the outdoor growing media prior to planting and landscaping
Use to mix in potted plant and container gardening media prior to planting


Coarse Crystals (size: 2.0 - 4.0 mm)
Use to mix for decorative purposes and fresh cut flower arrangements

How does Water-Keep compare to peat moss?

Water-Keep has 40 times greater water holding capacity than peat moss. Water-Keep gives back over 95% of the water. Organic soil amendments decompose within 1.5 to 2 years, while Water-Keep is effective for 5-7 years.

Is Water-Keep environmentally safe?

Water-Keep is 100% degradable. Water-Keep will gradually break down over time. When Water-Keep degrades, its byproducts are carbon dioxide, small amounts of ammonia and water with no residual toxicity- all beneficial for your plants or turf.

How is Water-Keep different from other polymers?

Water-Keep is a potassium-based copolymer rather than sodium-based polyacrylate, offering much more longevity and performance . It has a gel strength that is up to three times higher than competitive products.

Does Water-Keep absorb water-soluble fertilizer?

Yes, Water-Keep absorbs and releases water soluble fertilizers in the same manner it absorbs and releases water. In this fashion, your plants gain direct access to nutrients, and utilize those compounds only when they need them. Since Water-Keep absorbs and releases fertilizers at the same solution concentration as the fertilizer exists in the soil, you don't have to worry about any concentration of fertilizer salts to your plants.

How quickly does Water-Keep absorb water?

100% capacity is reached within 2 hours.

What's Water-Keep's pH level?

Water-Keep has a natural pH of 6.2 - 7.0.
